A Major Milestone: Training for 2000 children, including 850 girl students

Last week, we completed a major milestone for 0Gravity, a movement to provide digital literacy to
underprivileged children to create more equitable employment opportunities for all. Over the course of
our 6 years journey, we have now trained over 2000 children, with over 850 girl students from different
states across India, in addition to children from foster homes in the UK and the US. Our initiative that
took roots in 2016 has continued to create positive impact in spite of major challenges during the
pandemic to provide computer infrastructure and training remotely to our participants. Through these
years, we have now provided over 70,000 hours of cumulative coding training by over 75 volunteers
across the world.
Our current coding batch included girl students from New Delhi and Hyderabad cities in India, who
participated in the workshop over zoom. We delivered our workshop on ‘Website Development Using
Javascript, HTML and CSS’, which inspired our students to build their own websites.
We remain committed to our aspirational goals of training 10,000 children by 2025. Towards that goal,
our next workshop is lined up kick-off on October 22 nd , 2022, with 45 students joining from Rainbow
Foundation India Foster homes in Chennai and Bengaluru.
